At Holmhead, we believe in being as kind to the environment as possible and endeavour to be as ‘green’ as we can:-

• All recyclable materials are recycled
• We compost 100% of garden and green food waste
• We use a food composter for other food waste
• We have grown a hedgerow and wild flower borders to encourage and support wildlife
• PV panels generate aproximately 30% of our electricity
• Solar thermal panels produce most of our hot water requirements
• Heating is provided by a biomass boiler, which reduces considerably our carbon footprint
• We source as many local food products as we can
• All our room service items are ‘Fairtrade’
